ITS Hosts Domain-Specific Interpreting Series 2015-2017

This fall, 2015, the Interpreting and Translation Studies Program will host the first in a series of lectures focusing on domain-specific interpreting.  This series will extend into 2017 and explore the strategies, practices and protocols that characterize specialized interpreting in venues such as law enforcement, healthcare, faith, social care, education, crisis zones and more.

The first lecture will be “Faith-Related Interpreting” on November 13th. The presenters will be Dr. Ola Furmanek and Father Sergiusz Bałdyga, PhD, OFM.
