World Youth Day 2016

During the months of May-July Dr. Ola Furmanek recruited, trained and, as chief-interpreter, co-led a team of non-professional and professional religious interpreters for Pope Francis’ visit at the World Youth Day at the end of July in Cracow, Poland. Simultaneous interpreting was provided for over 3 million pilgrims into 10 languages.

World Youth Day is celebrated every three years at a diffrent continent and attracts hundreds of thousands of young Catholics from around the world. Pope Francis made his first trip to Poland to attend this year’s WYD.
