ITS Interpreting for Penn China Education Summit 2022

As a leading platform aimed at exploring new patterns of education in the world during the post-pandemic era, Penn China Education Summit (PCES) 2022 is committed to introducing the concept of “new education” which emerged during this special period, methods to break through current dilemmas in education development and new tracks in the education field, which is an important review of the transformation and development of education nowadays.

The Summit held from March 25 to March 27, 2022 (EST) this year contained six panels, “Education Innovation”, “Education Technology “, “Educational Equity”, “Educational Diversity”, “Early Education” and “Vocational Education”. The ITS faculty Dr. Xijinyan Chen led a team of eight interpreters, including ITS alumni Lu Ma, Yuzhu Zhang, Hongyu Lu, Tong Wu, Chentao Peng, Wei Zhu, and Mengmeng Shi, who were hired by the organizing committee to provide 15-hour simultaneous interpreting services for all the online panels.

With the help of the ITS program, the Summit has successfully discussed the educational ecosystem at home and abroad and promoted the synergistic development of education in China and the United States through academic meetings, experience sharing, case presentation, and roundtable discussions. The PCES expressed their appreciation and gratitude for the great efforts the ITS program has contributed to this summit.
